The Muir Woods Marathon, Half Marathon, and 7 Mile trail runs take place annually at Stinson Beach, California, starting from the Stinson Beach Parking Lot. This challenging event leads runners from sea level up into the dense, scenic trails of Muir Woods, following the famous Dipsea Trail to Steep Ravine. Participants encounter natural obstacles like wooden ladders, rock and wooden staircases, and tree trunk scrambles, all while enjoying the sounds of brooks, waterfalls, and the fresh scent of towering redwoods and oaks. The course offers panoramic summit views before descending back to Stinson Beach.
