Mudslinger Trail Run
The Mudslinger Trail Run is a half marathon on forest trails near Blodgett, Oregon, held as part of the Mudslinger Festival. The course runs through the Tum Tum unit of Starker Forests and finishes at Blodgett School. Packet pickup is organised at Blodgett School.
The event is limited to 100 runners. Early registration fees are listed at $65 with a later fee of $70. Awards are given by age group for men and women, including U19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. Finishers receive custom Mudslinger Trail Run coffee mugs.
Trail marking uses pink arrows, orange and red striped ribbons, and yellow X no signs to indicate wrong directions. Trail conditions vary with weather; some sections are steep and participants are advised to use appropriate trail running shoes. Aid stations include menstrual products and the event follows policies that support women runners, including women focused apparel and podiums, and pregnancy and postpartum guidelines.
The event can be combined with the Mudslinger XC mountain bike race as part of the Ultimate Mudslinger competition. Competitors who complete both disciplines are scored for Ultimate Mudslinger categories including solo age divisions and fastest team classifications.
