Mudslinger Trail Run
The Mudslinger Trail Run is a half marathon held in Blodgett, Oregon as part of the Mudslinger Festival. The course uses trails in the Tum Tum unit of the Starker Forests and finishes at Blodgett School, with packet pickup handled at the school location.
The event is limited to 100 runners. Early registration is listed at $65 with a later fee of $70. Runners compete in age-group awards for men and women in U19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 plus categories; finishers receive custom Mudslinger Trail Run coffee mugs. The event publishes equal podiums and awards and includes women-focused provisions such as women specific apparel and swag, menstrual products at aid stations, and pregnancy and postpartum policies.
The Mudslinger Trail Run is linked to the Mudslinger XC mountain bike race through the Ultimate Mudslinger competition. Competitors can combine results from the half marathon and the XC race for solo or team scoring in categories that separate age groups and team entries of one runner and one mountain biker.
Trails are marked with pink arrows and orange and red striped ribbons; yellow X no signs mark wrong directions. Trail conditions vary with weather and some sections are steep, so trail running shoes are recommended. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
