Mud Happens, One Bad Mud Run takes place on August 29, 2026, at Phil Moore Park, 7101 Scottsville Rd, Alvaton, KY 42122. The event centers on a 3 mile obstacle course routed through park terrain.

The course includes both man made and natural obstacles and directs participants through heavily wooded and, in some areas, overgrown sections. Organizers maintain a minimum of 20 obstacles; specific obstacles may change or be added from year to year.

The main course is open to participants aged 10 and up; all minors must be accompanied by a participating adult. A free designated kids area is provided for younger children to climb, jump, and play. Parents or caregivers must sign a waiver before a child is allowed to enter the kids area.

Practical information noted for participants includes a wash off station after the finish area and the option to return to the creek to rinse off. A registration table provides check in for personal belongings. Participants are advised to leave valuables at home and to wear clothes and shoes they do not mind getting muddy. Early bird pricing begins at $45 and ends July 4; group discounts apply with reduced rates for groups of four or more and for groups of ten or more.
