Mt. Umunhum Trail Conquest (Winter)
The event is a multi-distance trail running event at Almaden Quicksilver County Park, beginning at the Hacienda Entrance. Distances offered include a kids run through up to a 50K, and several courses are out-and-back. The 30K, trail marathon, and 50K travel into the Sierra Azul Open Space Preserve. Named aid stations and water stops appear on course at locations such as the Woods Parking Lot, Barlow Water Station, Mockingbird Parking Lot, Hacienda Parking Lot, and the Mt. Umunhum summit; aid station placement and cutoffs vary by distance.
Reported course ascent figures highlight elevation gain on several courses, for example the 5K (968 feet), 7 Mile (1,529 feet), Half Marathon (3,159 feet), 30K and Trail Marathon (5,072 feet), and 50K (7,635 feet).
