About the race
The Mt. Umunhum Trail Conquest (Winter) is a trail race held at the Hacienda Entrance of Almaden Quicksilver County Park in San Jose, CA on Saturday, February 6, 2027. Courses are out-and-back and some routes travel into the Sierra Azul Open Space Preserve, with the 30K summiting Bald Mountain and the Trail Marathon and 50K reaching Mt Umunhum. Distances offered include: - Kids Run - 1 Mile - 5K - 7 Mile - Half Marathon - 30K - Trail Marathon - 50K Courses are marked with single-color ribbons, clothespins, signs, and gypsum.
Multiple aid stations are located on course, with toilets available at the start/finish and at all aid stations and the water stop. Several specific aid locations are used, including the Hacienda Parking Lot, Woods Parking Lot, Barlow Water Station, Mockingbird Parking Lot, and the Mt Umunhum summit aid station. Reported course ascents: - 5K: 968 feet - 7 Mile: 1,529 feet - Half Marathon: 3,159 feet - 30K and Trail Marathon: 5,072 feet - 50K: 7,635 feet The event uses numbered bibs by distance and color, and some distances have overall time limits and intermediate cutoffs; the trail marathon and the 50K note that cutoffs will be strictly enforced.
