Mountie Maker - Obstacle Course Race
The Mountie Maker, presented by the YMCA of Regina, takes place on the RCMP Academy grounds in Regina, Saskatchewan on September 26, 2026. The main event combines a run of about 7.5 km with 26 obstacles, a figure chosen to reflect the length of the cadet training program.
Options are available for adults and cadets as individual or team registrations (teams of 2 to 24). There is a separate competitive heat that accepts individual registrations only. The event also includes a youth Mini Mountie race and a shorter Adult Sprint course.
Distances:
- 7.5 km course with 26 obstacles
- Mini Mountie 2 km for ages 5 to 13
- Adult Sprint shorter obstacle race
Registration includes a t shirt, a medal, water and snacks after the race. All participants or a parent or legal guardian must complete an online waiver. The RCMP Academy is an active secure facility; personal items may be searched and participants are restricted to the course around the grounds. Each participant will receive a clear plastic bag to attach to a fence during the race and the RCMP is not liable for lost items. Parking is at Rambler Park with shuttle service to the site. Spectators are permitted but restricted to the race staging area off 11th Avenue. The event runs rain or shine and registrations are non transferable and non refundable.
