Mountain Magic Trail Run - Mead, WA

The Mountain Magic Trail Run takes place on the Nordic ski trails within Mt. Spokane State Park. The event features four race distances: a 5k, a 10k, a 25k, and a new 35k Grand Tour. All races start and finish at the Selkirk Lodge.

The course is described as runnable and rolling, with varied terrain. For 2026, the 25k course has been altered to include more tree-covered sections and less gravel. The 35k course consists of the 10k loop followed by the 25k loop. The 10k has an elevation gain and loss of approximately 1200 feet, while the 25k has 2011 feet of gain and loss.

A post-race lunch is provided for all runners. Athletic Brewing Company non-alcoholic beer is available for registered participants over age 21. The event has a registration limit of 300 participants.

Aid stations provide water and sports drink; the 25k and 35k distances also offer energy food. The event is cupless, so runners must bring their own bottle or hydration pack. The 25k and 35k races have a 6-hour cutoff time, with an intermediate cutoff at the J11 aid station.

Pre-ordered shirts and hoodies can be picked up on race morning. Dogs are not permitted on the trail. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
