Mosquito Endurance Run

The Mosquito Endurance Run is a unique running event held at Fort Macon State Park in Atlantic Beach, NC, featuring a 12-hour solo ultra and a 3-member relay, alongside a 5K race. Participants run laps on a 3-mile trail during a lunar eclipse, with no minimum time requirement for completion. Runners must bring their own light sources, hydration devices, and can set up personal aid stations. The event supports park enhancements, including the preservation of a baby whale skeleton.
