Event Overview
Montey's Pack: Rescue Run 5K takes place on August 2, 2026, at Heebner Park in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. This is the first annual edition of the event. It features three activities: a 5K run/walk, a 1-mile kids fun walk, and a virtual 5K option for those unable to attend in person. The event is a fundraiser, with 100% of proceeds directed toward rescuing and caring for animals, supporting local shelters and adoption programs.
Course Details
The course for the 5K starts and finishes at Heebner Park. The route uses a combination of paved and packed gravel trails. An interactive map of the course is available online.
Special Categories
Participants are eligible for special recognition in several non-competitive categories. These include the Farthest Supporter (based on registration location), Youngest Strider, Comeback Strider (the slowest 5K finisher), and the Last but not least Strider (final registrant). The Individual Fundraiser Strider, awarded to the participant who hosts the most successful fundraiser, also receives a $50 gift card. Official race medals are awarded for these categories.
Registration
Registration for the in-person events closes on August 1, 2026. An early bird registration rate was available before February 10, 2026. Day-of registration is available at a higher fee.
