The event takes place at Bon Echo Provincial Park in Cloyne, Ontario and offers multiple trail race distances.

The course includes a mix of wide groomed trails and technical, rocky single track; organisers note there is more technical single track than wide trail. Large sections of the 30 km and 43 km routes run on back-country trails with rocks, roots and steep climbs and descents; surfaces can be slippery when wet. Participants should be prepared to be self-reliant for 12 to 14 km at a time, and one section may have up to 17 km between aid stations. The route will be well marked and GPX files from 2025 are available; the 2026 course will be slightly different but similar in route, elevation and terrain.

Aid stations provide water, an electrolyte drink, PB & J and sweet and salty snacks. The event is cupless so runners must bring a collapsible cup or bottle. The race is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario. Event partners include a shoe brand supplying demo shoes and a local nutrition company providing gels in race kits and at aid stations; the gels list maple syrup, tahini, sea salt and rowanberry extract as ingredients. Registration is limited to 250 participants. Race fees do not include park admission; camping and other park accommodations are available through the park reservation system.
