Monster Dash 5K at The Bates Motel

The Monster Dash 5K at The Bates Motel is a Halloween-themed running and walking event held at Arasapha Farms in Glen Mills, Edgmont, Pennsylvania on October 31, 2026. Proceeds from the event benefit Edgmont Township Fire Company No.1. The event is presented by Nolan Painting Inc. This is not a USATF-certified course.

Event distances:

• 5K - multi-surface cross country through Arasapha Farms and The Bates Motel
• 1 Mile - multi-surface primarily along the Haunted Hayride path

The 5K uses a chipped bib for timed results and includes a commemorative t-shirt. Overall awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers, and divisional medals will be awarded for first through third place in male and female divisions. The 1 Mile is untimed, includes a commemorative t-shirt, and will not traverse the back Christmas tree farm portion of the property. Families may run or walk; all-terrain strollers are permitted.

Costume rules apply for safety: masks and carried weapons are not permitted, runners must wear closed-toed shoes, spiked shoes are allowed, and costume length should allow safe running. A monster costume contest will recognize two individual winners, one themed group, and two youth winners under age 12. Packet pick up is scheduled before race day and preregistration pick up will be available on race morning. The event proceeds rain or shine.
