Mines Of Spain Trail Races

Come join the Mines of Spain Trail Races crew for 4mi, 7mi, and half marathon distances on some of eastern Iowa's best and most challenging trails! The routes through Mines of Spain offer beautiful views of the Mississippi River, tall grass prairies, and dense hardwood forests. The terrain includes a mix of dirt single and double track, wide prairie grass trails, rocky sections, technical trails, and steep climbs. Aid stations will provide water, Tailwind Nutrition drink, and snacks, and the race promotes environmental sustainability with cup-free racing and zero waste practices. Shuttle service will be available to reduce parking congestion and environmental impact, and proceeds from the race will support trail maintenance and conservation efforts at the park.
