The McKenzie River Trail Run is a trail ultramarathon held on June 13, 2026, near Blue River, Oregon. The main race distance is 31 miles. Net proceeds support McKenzie Bridge area non-profits. Course and aid

The course starts at Carmen Reservoir off Highway 126 and follows the Waterfalls Trail, goes around Clear Lake and the Santiam Wagon Road, passes Clear Lake resort, then follows the McKenzie River Trail about 21 miles downriver to the finish by the McKenzie River Ranger Station. Features along the route include waterfalls, Clear Lake, lava flows, old growth forest, log bridges, and Tamolitch Pool. Aid stations are every 4-6 miles and offer water, electrolyte drink, gels, and typical aid-station food. The race is CUPLESS; runners must bring a reusable cup, flask, or bottle. Drop bags can be left at the McKenzie Community Track for delivery to Aid 3 at mile 16.7.

Entry, cutoffs, and awards

The entry fee is $115 and includes shuttle service between the community track, start, and finish. Registration opens January 1, 2026 and closes June 1, 2026, with a wait list if the field fills. Cancellations before April 15 receive a 50% refund; entries are not transferable. Cutoffs are enforced beginning at aid station 2 (about mile 11.5); the schedule allows roughly eight hours to finish (about 15:30 min/mile). Awards are given to overall first, second, and third by male, female, and non-binary, and to the first male, female, and non-binary in each age group (29 and under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over).
