McKaig 5K Trail Race : Wayne, PA
The McKaig event on 10/04/2026 takes place at 889 Croton Road, Wayne, PA. The day includes a timed trail race and a race festival with music, post-race food and beverages, and a chili cook-off in the festival area.
Event program highlights:
- 5K trail race
- Monkey Rock Miler one mile walking event, leashed dogs welcome
- Kids Race free short schoolyard course for younger children and a longer course with a short trail section for older children
- Chili cook-off with free tasting for racers and a $5 tasting fee for non-racers; all tasters vote and the top three chefs receive medals
The 5K uses professional chip timing with real time results provided by Bryn Mawr Racing Company. Registration details include a $35 fee for the 5K and a $30 fee for the Monkey Rock Miler; the kids race and chili cook-off entry are free. Early bird pricing applies through August 31st and the 5K field is limited to the first 125 registrants. A McKaig race T-shirt is available for participants who register by 9/28.
