Mad Trapper Camp Fortune Classic : Camp Fortune, Chelsea QC

The Mad Trapper Camp Fortune Classic is a singletrack trail race held at Camp Fortune in Chelsea, Quebec, about 20 minutes from downtown Ottawa. The event uses mountain bike singletrack through forested terrain with roots, rocks and rollers, avoiding ski-hill repeats, tall grass, and intentional mud.

Courses are clearly marked and maintained. There is no cutoff time. Water, electrolyte drinks and snacks are available at the Camp Fortune lodge; there are no aid stations out on the trails. Post-race hospitality includes a barbecue at the lodge. Winners are acknowledged and random prize draws are held.

Maps will be posted on Strava and prerunning the trails is allowed; the official course flags go up on race day. The event is organized by Mad Trapper Racing, established in 2002.
