The Tewanima Footrace is a trail run event that includes a 10K, 5K, and 1-mile fun run/walk. The event takes place on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at the Baseball Field in Hopi Village of Shungopavi, Second Mesa, AZ. There will be a pre-race "Carb" dinner on Saturday, August 31, 2019, at the Shungopavi Community Center.

Registration fees are $40 for the 10K and 5K, and the 1-mile run is free. All participants will receive a race t-shirt and a "Runner's Goody Bag," and top finishers will receive traditional Hopi prizes and medals. Lodging options include hotels, motels, and camping facilities.
