Lostine River Run/Walk
The Lostine River Run/Walk takes place in Lostine, Oregon. The event is organized by the Rotary Club of Wallowa County, and proceeds benefit Rotary Youth programs and Memorial Scholarship Funds. It offers multiple distance options for runners and walkers.
Distances:
- 10K
- 5K
- 1 mile
The course is point-to-point and follows the Lostine River. It is mostly on pavement but has a trail-like feel because of the natural surroundings. The course is accurately measured and is generally fast, with a mostly downhill profile, gentle rolling hills in the first half, and a small hill near the end. Participants are bussed to the start. The event is dog and stroller friendly.
Timing uses a chip located on the back of the race bib; bibs should be worn on the chest. Awards include prizes for top male, female, Masters and overall in the 5K and 10K, and ribbons for the top three finishers in each age group for each run and walk. Age groups run from under 13 through 70 and up.
Listed prices include adult and children rates for each distance. Registration can be completed as a guest without creating an account. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
