Loop the Lemur at Ross Park Zoo

Loop the Lemur is a timed event held at Ross Park Zoo in Binghamton where participants cover a 0.8 loop inside the zoo as many times as they can. There are three event options: a two hour event, a one hour event, and the Little Lemur Kids Run. Participants may run, walk, or otherwise complete laps at their own pace. Each event is timed and awards are given for most laps in several categories including overall male and female, second and third place, and team with the most laps.

Registration details vary by event and include a custom shirt and a custom medal; zoo admission for the day is included with registration. Registration fees listed are $35 for the two hour event, $25 for the one hour event, and $19 for the Little Lemur Kids Run. The shirt deadline is May 1; registrations after that date will not include a shirt.

Fundraising is optional; individuals or teams may fundraise and the individual and team that raise the most money with a minimum of $400 each win a Red Panda Wild Encounter for four people and free registration for the 2027 event. One hundred percent of net proceeds go directly to the Ross Park Zoo. Crew is not allowed on course. Spectators and nonparticipants are permitted with regular zoo admission.
