Litton Birks Fell Race

Litton Birks Fell Race is a 5 km fell race in Litton, taking in parts of Littondale and Upper Wharfedale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The senior course has around 362 m of ascent and was re-routed with a new course adopted in 2024. Registration and prize giving take place at the Queens Arms pub in Litton; food and drinks will be available in a beer garden tent.

Multiple junior races are offered with entry on the day only and a minimum junior entry age of 6 years on the day. Age categories and approximate distances and climbs are:

  • Senior race: 5 km with around 362 m ascent
  • U17: 3.2 km with 219 m ascent
  • U14: 1.9 km with 103 m ascent
  • U12: 1.6 km with 63 m ascent
  • U9: 0.8 km with 22 m ascent

Age category is based on age on 1st May 2025. Minimum age for the senior race is 17 years. Entry fees listed are £5.00 for FRA members and £6.00 for non-members; junior entry is £3 on the day. Parking is provided in a field about 300 m from the start; signs and marshal instructions should be followed.
