Lil Chiggy is described as a spring tune-up run to test winter training. The event takes place at Cape Chignecto Provincial Park in Advocate Harbour, Nova Scotia.
Course and Format
The race begins at the gate of Cape Chignecto Park. Participants race directly into Refugee Cove, collect a token from a volunteer, and then return to the start/finish line at the gate. The timing stops when a runner touches the gate and shows their collected token.
The course is run completely on the Red Trail within the park. The distance is approximately 24 kilometers, though the exact distance may vary slightly depending on GPS devices.
Cape Chignecto Provincial Park is noted for its scenic beauty, significant vertical gain, and technical single-track trails.
Registration and Policies
There is one race distance offered. Registration is open, with 261 spots remaining at the time of publication.
The event's policy states that refunds and deferrals are not offered. However, bib transfers to another runner are permitted using a transfer function on the event page until May 15, 2025.
