Lemurian Ascent Trail Run - Mt. Shasta Ski Park
Lemurian Ascent Trail Run is a ski area trail race on the forested slopes of Mt. Shasta Ski Park that emphasizes sustained climbs, flowing descents, and repeated efforts across the mountain. The route uses a mix of ski trails, service roads, and singletrack to move between lift served areas.
The long course links the ski park's major high points by climbing to the top of each chairlift and then descending back toward the base area. It covers approximately 14 to 15 miles with over 3,000 feet of elevation gain and is built to showcase the park's full vertical profile.
Shorter course options are available, including a roughly 5k route that climbs to the top of the Marmot lift. The event is professionally timed, with clearly marked courses and fully supported aid stations. The race takes place during the ski park's Community Day, when scenic chairlift rides, yard games, food and a bar are available at the base area. Guided post-run recovery yoga on the mountain is offered and includes a lift ride.
