Lemurian Trail Run : Mt. Shasta Ski Park

The Lemurian Trail Run is a summer mountain trail event held at Mt. Shasta Ski Park in McCloud, California on June 27, 2026. The event takes place during the ski area’s first Community Day of the summer and runs across established mountain trails with chairlift access at the base area.

Courses are professionally timed and marked. Aid stations are fully supported along the courses. The event has a 150 participant cap. Base-area amenities during the day include scenic chairlift rides, food and beverage service, and community activities; guided post-run recovery yoga is offered on the mountain and includes a lift ride.

The event is presented for trail runners seeking climb-focused runnable terrain, road and endurance athletes testing mountain legs, and visitors who want to experience the ski area in summer. One long course reaches the top of every chairlift.

Distances and main course outlines:

  • 4 Mile Course - Marmot Peak: climb to Marmot summit, then descent.
  • 7 Mile Course - Marmot + Douglas: climbs to Marmot and Douglas with mixed terrain.
  • 15 Mile Course - Full Mountain Challenge: Marmot, Douglas, Coyote, Grey Butte, 3,500 feet elevation gain.
