Rise Up Hero Trail Runs at Settlers Cabin Park

Crafton, United States • 23 May 2026

Event Overview

The Rise Up Hero Trail Runs is a loop-based trail running event at Settlers Cabin Park in Robinson, Pennsylvania. The event uses a reversed version of the "Last Trail Standing" course, offering a different experience on familiar trails.

Distances

The event includes four race distances:

  • 50K with a 9-hour time limit
  • 25K (Hikers Welcome)
  • 8 Miler (Hikers Welcome)
  • 5K (Hikers Welcome, Trained Dogs Welcome)

Course Details

All distances start and finish at the Algonquin Shelter. The 25K and 50K distances use the Gilbert Love Shelter, approximately 7.75 trail miles away, as an aid station and turnaround point. The course is about 99% trail, with terrain that includes woods, rocks, roots, and rolling hills. The trails are described as well-marked.

For the 50K, runners complete two full 15.5-mile loops with approximately 4600 feet of total elevation gain. The 25K consists of one full loop with approximately 2300 feet of elevation gain. The 8 Miler runs past the Gilbert Love aid station before returning to the finish. The 5K is a shorter loop that does not reach Gilbert Love.

Event Features

There are two major aid station locations: the start/finish at Algonquin and the halfway point at Gilbert Love, with a maximum distance between them of under 8 miles. The event provides professional timing, finisher medals for all participants, and overall placement awards. Hikers are welcome in the 25K, 8 Miler, and 5K distances. The 5K also welcomes trained dogs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
