Rise Up Hero Trail Runs takes place on May 23, 2026, at Settlers Cabin Park, Pittsburgh, PA (608 Ridge Road, 15205). The event offers multiple distances:

Hikers are allowed in the 25K, 8 Miler, and 5K. Trained, trail-friendly dogs are allowed in the 5K. Timing is provided by Miles of Smiles. All finishers receive medals and there are overall placement awards. Final race-day instructions will be emailed to participants.

Course and logistics

All distances start and finish at Algonquin Shelter. The course follows the same route used for Last Trail Standing but is run in the opposite direction. The route is approximately 99% trail through woods with rocks, roots, and rolling terrain. Gilbert Love Shelter is 7.75 trail miles from Algonquin and serves as the aid station and turnaround point for 25K and 50K runners. The maximum distance between aid stations is under 8 miles; there are two major aid locations at Algonquin and Gilbert Love. Drop bags for 50K runners are located at Algonquin.
