Last Man Standing Utah (Tushar Mountains)

Last Man Standing Utah is a backyard ultra held on the Tushar Mountain trails at Eagle Point Resort near Beaver, Utah on October 10, 2026. The event follows the original Backyard Ultra format: runners must complete one loop of 4.167 miles every hour. Runners who finish a loop early may rest or refuel, but they must return to the corral before the next bell. If a runner fails to start a loop on time, they are eliminated.

The course runs on resort trails in the Tushar Mountains. Participants range in goals from a small number of loops to many consecutive loops; the event structure records each completed hourly loop as the measure of progress.

Registration opens May 19, 2026 and closes on the event date. Initial pricing begins at $95 for the first 49 entrants and increases through tiered levels up to $145 for later tiers; the race will sell out at 200 runners and then use a waitlist for additional registrants. Race giveaways include shirts and medals. For 2026 there are new award ribbon sliders that attach to medal ribbons for reaching key ultra distances such as 50k, 50 mile, 100k, and 100 mile.
