Last Man Standing Utah (Tushar Mountains)
Last Man Standing Utah is a backyard ultra held on the Tushar Mountain trails at Eagle Point Resort near Beaver, Utah. The event uses the original backyard ultra format: each competitor must complete one 3 mile loop every hour on the hour. Runners who do not start a loop on time are removed from the event.
Completing a loop early leaves time between rounds for rest, refueling, or equipment checks before the next loop begins. The course is trail terrain at a mountain resort setting. Participants set personal goals for the number of loops they plan to finish; the format allows a wide range of final distances depending on how many loops a person completes.
Registration is tiered with an initial fee of $85 and higher fees as participant numbers rise; the event will cap entries at 200 runners and place additional registrants on a waitlist. The event offers race giveaways including shirts and medals. For 2026 the event adds award ribbon sliders that attach to medal ribbons for reaching specified ultra levels (50k, 50 mile, 100k, and 100 mile).
Awards are planned for Overall Champion, Male/Female Overall, Masters Male/Female, and Grand Masters Male/Female. The organizer lists separate individual and two-person relay entries and a staged pricing structure based on total participant counts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
