Event details

Knock On Wood Trail Run/Hike takes place on April 25, 2026, at Pleasant Ridge County Park - Camp Spearhead, 4232 SC-11, Marietta, SC 29661. Race proceeds and donations support the Upstate Running Club Youth Team and Camp Spearhead. The event offers the following distances:

• 13.1 miles (half marathon)
• 10 km

Included with registration are park entry, a finisher medal, a custom race bib, event-themed giveaways, a race sticker, complimentary race photos, music and a post-race party, chip timing with live tracking and results, a hydration sample, and a custom collapsible hydration cup. Race shirts are sold separately. Finisher medals and awards are not shipped.

Course, aid, awards, and policies

The course is a 10K loop with about 650 feet of elevation gain per lap and is described as more than 90% shaded. Directional arrows mark the route. A 4-hour cutoff applies. One aid station is located at the main shelter each loop and provides water, Coke, ginger ale, pickles, cookies, chips, candy, fig newtons, and pretzels. The event is cup-less; participants must bring their own hydration vessel.

Overall trophies are awarded to the top three male and female finishers. Age-group awards (1st, 2nd, 3rd) are given and age groups span from 0–9 up to 80+. Registered participants may transfer their entry to another person or change race distance. No refunds or deferrals are offered unless the event sells out; if sold out, a 50% off code for a future Upstate Race Series event may be requested. Club members receive a 15% registration discount and referrals (2+ runners) earn $5 off. Volunteers who work a three-hour shift earn a free entry to any Upstate Race Series-owned event.
