About the race
Knock On Wood Trail Run/Hike is an Upstate Race Series event held on May 1, 2027 at Camp Spearhead in Pleasant Ridge County Park, 4232 SC-11, Marietta, SC. The event offers two official distances:
- 13.1 miles, Forest Funk Half Marathon, two laps of the 10K loop
- 10K, Hipster Hustle 10K, one lap
The course is a singletrack 10K loop with roughly 650 feet of rolling elevation gain per lap and more than 90% tree cover. The half marathon completes the loop twice. Directional arrows mark the route.
One aid station is located at the main shelter and is reached on every loop. Available snacks include pickles, cookies, chips, candy, Fig Newtons, and pretzels. Hydration options listed are water, Coke, and ginger ale. The event is cup-less; participants are asked to bring their own hydration vessel.
Logistics note the start, finish, and packet pickup at the main shelter, with parking at Pleasant Ridge County Park. Restrooms are available. Race-day registration is accepted using a personal mobile device. A four hour time limit applies.
Included items and extras: custom race bib, chip timing with live results, race-branded finisher medal, custom race tattoo, event giveaways, race stickers, and custom race socks for the first 100 participants. Top three overall finishers in each gender receive trophies; age group awards are given for 15 age categories. The event counts toward the Upstate Trail Series and Upstate Youth Series and supports Defenders for Children through the Upstate Giving Series.
