Tacky Sweater 5K - Greenville
The Tacky Sweater 5K is a festive running and walking event at Lakewood Nature Preserve in Greenville, SC on December 19, 2026. The event is a 5K run/walk conducted on a grass cross country course consisting of two 1.5-mile loops through wooded terrain. The route is described as wide and rolling with some hills.
A post-race Tacky Sweater Contest awards cash prizes of $50, $25, and $10 for first through third in both team and solo categories; spectator votes contribute to the People's Choice. Chip timing and live results are provided, and the race issues custom bibs, a race-branded finisher medal, a custom race tattoo, event giveaways, and race stickers. Professional photos are posted after the event.
Logistics note that packet pickup is available race morning at the preserve and that parking is included with registration and located adjacent to the finish area. The site provides four portable toilets. Water is available at the finish; the event is cup-less. Race-day registration is accepted via mobile up to race start, and there is a one hour time limit to walk the full 5K.
