Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge : overview

The Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge takes place in Dorset on 16-17 May 2026. The event starts in Corfe Castle and finishes in Bridport. It runs along the Jurassic Coast World Heritage coastline, with route sections that pass Swanage, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Weymouth, Portland Bill, Chesil Beach, and West Bay. Options include walking, jogging, or running, and there are single-day and two-day formats with camping available at the midway location in Weymouth.

Route format and support

The full event can be done continuously or as a two-day daylight option (Corfe Castle to Weymouth, then Weymouth to Bridport). There are category options for faster competitive runners (Trailblazerz) and timed walkers (Ultra March). The route is fully signed and supported with GPS tracking. Rest stops appear roughly every 12.5 km, with major stops about every 25 km; catering, medical and massage teams, covered marquees, and a 24-hour control room are provided.
