The Jack Bristol Lake Waramaug Ultra Races take place on April 26, 2026, celebrating their 52nd anniversary. The event is the oldest ultramarathon in Connecticut and the oldest 100K race in the United States. It is sanctioned by USATF.
Distances
The event offers three race distances:

- 50 Miler

Course
The course consists of rolling loops on paved roads around Lake Waramaug in Kent, Connecticut, and is described as primarily flat. All races start near the intersection of Lake Waramaug Road and Anderson Acres Road. The course begins with a clockwise 2.2-mile out-and-back section, followed by counter-clockwise laps around the lake. The 50K involves three 7.6-mile laps, the 50 Miler involves six laps, and the 100K involves seven laps, each with a final out-and-back segment to the finish at the state park. The time limits are 12 hours for the 50K and 13 hours for the 50 Miler and 100K.
Aid and Amenities
Four aid stations are positioned around the lake. Post-race food and drinks are provided for all runners. Registration includes a technical t-shirt. All finishers receive a medal (50K and 50 Miler) or a belt buckle (100K), as well as a special finisher's medal from a sponsor. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
