The event is set at Lake Waramaug State Park in Kent, Connecticut and marks the 52nd anniversary of the Lake Waramaug Ultras. The event is USATF sanctioned and offers multiple ultra distances around the lake.

The course follows paved roads around Lake Waramaug. Runners begin near the intersection of Lake Waramaug Road and Anderson Acres Road. The route includes a clockwise 2.2 mile out then a counter-clockwise return at the race start, followed by laps around the lake. The 50K consists of three 7.6 mile laps then a 1.9 mile out-and-back to the State Park finish. The 50 mile requires six laps around the lake. The 100K includes seven laps followed by a 2.3 mile out-and-back to the finish.
There are four well stocked aid stations positioned around the lake and post-race food and drinks for participants. Distances between stations from the main start/finish are approximately 1.8 miles, 1.9 miles, 1.7 miles, then 2.2 miles back to the start. Time limits are 12 hours for the 50K and 13 hours for the 50 mile and 100K; race officials may consider extensions based on conditions and safety.
Recorded finisher items include a technical T-shirt, medals for 50K and 50 mile finishers, and a belt buckle for 100K finishers. A special Mount to Coast medal is also provided to finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
