Race 7A - Ron Gee Enterprises Iron Trail 23km Handicap
Race 7A is a handicap trail race of 23 km held on the Wild Mersey Mountain Bike Trails at the Latrobe Trailhead in Latrobe, TAS, Australia. The event is organised by the PCCCT and lists Ron Gee Enterprises as a sponsor. Entry required PCCCT membership, either season or single-race, and entrants must be at least 15 years of age.
This is a self-supported trail race. Runners are required to carry a minimum of 1 L water capacity, a compression bandage, a survival blanket, a thermal top, a pea-less whistle, and a mobile phone preloaded with the Emergence Plus app; the St John First Aid app is recommended. Water to refill bottles is available at a marshaled turnaround point; competitors must fill their own bottles and the club will not transport personal bottles to the drink station. Disposable cups are not permitted and runners must carry any rubbish to the finish.
Handicaps and the pre-race brief are posted on the club website and Facebook page in the days before the race. All runners must clean their shoes at the provided wash station in the start area prior to starting. A tail runner follows the last runner on the return leg. Runners use a public shared trail and are expected to be considerate of other users and give way to mountain bike traffic. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
