Iron Mountain Legend
The Iron Mountain Legend is a trail running event located near Caddo Valley at DeGray Lake. The event course utilizes the trail systems of Iron Mountain within the Ouachita Mountains. All in-person distances begin and end at the Iron Mountain Lodge & Marina.
Participants can choose from three primary trail race distances:
- 11K trail race
- 27K trail race
- 42K trail race
The event features on-course aid stations providing food and drinks for participants. After reaching the finish line, runners receive post-race snacks and beverages along with a unique finisher medal.
In addition to the physical event, virtual options are available for the 11K, 27K, and 42K distances. Those participating in the virtual categories can complete their chosen distance on the actual Iron Mountain course independently or on a trail of their choice. Virtual participants receive their medal and event materials via mail upon submission of their route and time documentation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
