In the Woods 50K

In the Woods 30A 50K : February 21, 2026

The In the Woods 30A 50K is a trail event in Santa Rosa Beach, FL, presented by Dune Lakes Private Wealth Advisors. The event offers a 50K solo option and relay options for two or three people. The race starts and finishes at the Point Washington State Forest Eastern Lake Trailhead.

Course, terrain and race format

The 50K course consists of three laps for a total of 31.07 miles (Lap 1: 10.50 miles, Lap 2: 10.17 miles, Lap 3: 10.40 miles). The route runs mostly on dirt and sand trails, with some sand-only sections and some gravel road. There are multiple creek crossings with wood bridges, tree roots, rocks, sections of standing water and mud, fallen trees, and substantial sand. There is a 9.5 hour time limit.

For relay teams, the three laps are shared so that each lap is a segment. In the two-person relay each runner must complete at least one full lap; in the three-person relay each runner completes one lap. Relay changeovers are adjacent to the trailhead.

Logistics and awards

Early packet pick-up is Friday, February 20, 2026, from 4-6 pm at Fleet Feet Inlet Beach, 11299 US Hwy 98 E, Inlet Beach, FL 32461. Registered runners receive a long sleeve tech shirt; all finishers receive a finisher medal. Awards are given to the top 1-3 overall men’s and women’s solo finishers, top 1-3 relay teams, and first place solo finishers in each age group. Solo finishers under four hours receive the "U4 Club" award. Registration fees are non-refundable; transfers to another runner are permitted during the transfer period.
