Event overview
The Hurricane Hundred K is a 100K trail race and three-person relay held at Meeks Mountain Trails in Hurricane, West Virginia on September 19, 2026. The event is presented by the City of Hurricane and the Dumont Tri County YMCA and runs on single-track mountain trails. Registration is limited to 150 runners.

Course and support
The course uses 10.3-mile loops run six times for the full 100K. Each loop has about 1,500 feet of climbing, for roughly 9,000 feet total. The race command center, crew pit, and team hangout are located at the shelter in the back of the bowl. Solo runners can meet their crew between laps. Pacers are permitted for the last two loops. There are two aid stations: a start/finish station and an on-course station at mile 5 of each loop. Aid offerings include water, electrolytes, soda, ice, sweet and salty foods, and at the central aid station additional hot and substantial items and options for gluten-free needs. Drop bags, crew access, and a ladies-only restroom are available at the central area.
Entry, awards and policies
Solo 100K runners compete for a $10,000 prize purse with a $1,000 course record bonus. Relay teams receive hand-crafted awards for top finishers by category. All finishers receive event apparel, a finisher award, and a swag tote; solo 100K finishers receive a belt buckle. Entry fees vary by date and refunds are available on a sliding scale before September. The race is Trail Sisters approved with equal prize money and female-specific support.
