This event is the third annual running of the Hualapai Mountain Park Replenish and Restore Walk/Run. It takes place at Hualapai Mountain Park near Kingman, Arizona. The event offers two distances: a 5K and a 10K.
Course Details
The course is described as a multi-surface trail race. Most of the route is paved, with a small portion consisting of dirt and possible loose rocks. The route goes through various developed areas of the park, including Pine Basin, Recreation Area #1, Recreation Area #2, Summer Camp Loop, and Cabin Loop. The elevation gain for the race is over 530 feet.
Purpose and Registration
All proceeds from the event are designated for the purchase of trees and native brush to help replenish Hualapai Mountain Park, which was impacted by the Flag Mine fire in 2021. The park is self-funded. Both race distances have an entry fee of $35. Registration includes a race bib, timed results, an unisex t-shirt (size guaranteed for registrations before a specific date), and a swag bag with items like a water bottle.
Event Logistics
The event is open to all ages; minors under 18 must have a parent or guardian present. Leashed dogs are permitted on the course. Parking is available at the Elk Ridge RV Park across from the Ranger Station. An awards ceremony will be held for various age categories and overall finishers.
