The Howard Aslinger Endurance Run is a timed running event offering 24-hour, 12-hour (night), and 1-hour distances. It takes place at Arena Park in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The event supports the Howard L. Aslinger Memorial Scholarship Foundation, which provides scholarships for individuals with disabilities to further their education.

Course Details

The course is a flat loop on a paved path around Arena Park. The route is certified (MO19003DG). There is one fully stocked aid station providing sports drink, water, and various snacks.

Event Schedule

The 24-hour run starts on a Friday evening and finishes 24 hours later on Saturday evening. The 12-hour run has two options: a night event from Friday evening to Saturday morning, and a day event from Saturday morning to Saturday evening. The 1-hour run also takes place. Packet pick-up is available on Friday afternoon at the 4-H building in Arena Park. A pre-race briefing is held 15 minutes before each event start.

Awards and Amenities

Plaques are awarded to division winners. There are individual divisions for male and female runners in Open, Masters, Senior, and Grand Master categories, as well as a Wheelchair/Disability division.
