High Lodge Half Marathon - Spring

The event is a Half Marathon trail race held on Sunday 1st March 2026 at High Lodge in Thetford Forest. The route is a circular multi-terrain course that uses hard-packed trails, hard-packed sand, grassy footpaths and forest trails. Wildlife is present on the route, including fallow deer and wild thyme. The race is traffic free and manually timed. All finishers receive a medal and podium trophies are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers. Photography is provided during the event.

Event details and rules

The minimum age for entry is 17 years. A 3.5-hour cut-off applies to the half marathon. This is a cupless event; fresh drinking water is available at refill points and participants should bring their own bottle to refill. Race numbers are not posted in advance and must be collected at the event. A £2 fee applies to runners who are not attached to a club, in order to comply with UK Athletics rules. Competitors enter at their own risk and must ensure they are medically fit to take part. Medical assistance will be available, but the organisers and landowners do not accept liability for injuries. Competitors consent to use of photographs and video from the event in promotional materials and media coverage. Appropriate grippy footwear is recommended for the varied terrain. TRA Permit 6987.
