Hell Hath No Hurry

Hell Hath No Hurry is a looped trail race held at Settlers Cabin Park with a focus on community and endurance. The event offers multiple distance options on a marked 10K loop that runs through park trails and returns to the Cayuga shelter start and finish area. The start/finish is located near a playground, providing space for families and spectators.

  • 10K : scenic loop through Settlers Cabin Park (1 loop)
  • 30K : three 10K loops
  • 50K : five 10K loops
  • 50 Mile : eight 10K loops
  • 50 Mile Relay : team relay covering 50 miles

The course is primarily single-track trail with hills, roots, mud, and other natural terrain. There are minimal road crossings and the direction of travel may change during the event. The course will be clearly marked but runners are expected to follow the blazes.

Aid stations include a main station at the start/finish offering water, electrolyte drink, PB&J, chips, pretzels, candy, salt tabs, and other trail snacks, and a halfway station offering water, electrolyte drink, and additional food options. Fifty-mile runners pass their vehicles each lap and may access personal gear. Thirty-K and 50K participants may set a small personal aid area at the start/finish.

A post-race cookout will be provided with hamburgers, hot dogs, vegetarian options, picnic sides, and cold beverages including beer for those 21 and older. Awards are given to top male and female finishers in each race. All registrants receive custom technical running socks and a hand-crafted finisher award upon completing their registered distance. Race rules include no littering, respecting other park users, and exiting the park by sunset. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
