Haven Half Marathon, 30k & 10k
The event takes place on July 25, 2026, at Tomaha Trail in Hisega, Pennington County, South Dakota. Multiple trail race distances use local trails and roads in and around Hisega and Placerville.
- Haven Half Marathon: 12.37 miles, 1,948 feet elevation gain
- Haven 30k: 20.5 miles, 2,700 feet elevation gain
- Haven 10k: about 6.2 miles, out and back
The half marathon runs along Hwy 44 and Placerville Road and includes substantial elevation gain. The 30k follows a longer route through rugged terrain with greater cumulative elevation. The 10k starts at Hisega Lodge and is an out and back course.
Logistics note that shuttle service is provided to the starts; participants can park on Tomaha Trail in Hisega and be shuttled to the start areas for the half and the 30k. 10k parking is north of Hisega Lodge. Packet pickup is available at the parking and shuttle area on race day at check in.
Entry policies include member discounts for Black Hills Runners Club members and free entry for participants 16 and under without swag.
