Harkerside Hustle

The Harkerside Hustle is a half marathon trail event that serves as the finale to a short course trail series. The race starts from Grinton and finishes at The Dales Bike Centre in Reeth.

The route follows moorland trods, hard-packed tracks and grassy paths. Runners pass an iron age farmstead, climb Whitaside Moor, descend through Apedale, rejoin the DR40 course to climb to the Height of Greets, cross to Grinton Smelt Mill, enjoy views from Sharrow Hill, and follow grassy descents to Cogden Hall before returning to The Dales Bike Centre. The course is fully marked and the listed distances are rough estimates.

Facilities include fully stocked aid stations with vegan and gluten free options, GPX and a map, car parking, and post-race hot soup and a roll provided as part of the entry. Hot drinks and cakes are available to purchase from The Dales Bike Centre Cafe. A finishers neck tube is offered for a small additional fee.

Entries open 27 November 2025 and close 27 September 2026. Entry fees are shown as UKA Member £24.00 and Non Member £26.00. The event organiser is DalesRunner. Entrants must be at least 16 years old. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
