The Harkerside Hustle takes place on 4 October 2026 at The Dales Bike Centre in Reeth. It is the finale to a short course trail series and is organised by DalesRunner. Entry opens 27 November 2025 and closes 27 September 2026. The minimum age to enter is 16. Entry fees listed are £24 for UKA members and £26 for non-members. Entry is handled through SiEntries and registration is required. Distances are given as rough estimates.
Course and on-site services
The event is a half marathon that starts from Grinton and initially follows the DR40 runners. The route includes a short road section to Harkerside Moor, passes an iron age farmstead, climbs Whitaside Moor, descends through Apedale, rejoins the DR40 course to climb to the Height of Greets, crosses to Grinton Smelt Mill, and follows descents past Sharrow Hill and Cogden Hall back to The Dales Bike Centre. Surfaces include moorland trods, hard-packed tracks and grassy paths. Aid stations are fully stocked and include vegan and gluten-free options. A post-race soup and roll is included in the entry; hot drinks and cakes are available to purchase.
