Harkerside Hustle

The Harkerside Hustle is the finale to a short course trail series. It is a half marathon that starts from Grinton and finishes at the Dales Bike Centre in Reeth. The route is fully marked and follows a mix of moorland trods, hard packed tracks and grassy paths.

The course includes a short road section onto Harkerside Moor, passes an iron age farmstead, climbs Whitaside Moor, then descends through Apedale. Runners rejoin the DR40 route to climb to the Height of Greets, cross to Grinton Smelt Mill, enjoy views from Sharrow Hill, and follow grassy descents to Cogden Hall before returning to the Dales Bike Centre. A GPX file and a map are provided.

Event services include fully stocked aid stations with vegan and gluten free options, car parking, and hot drinks and cakes available to purchase from the Dales Bike Centre Cafe. A post-race hot soup and a roll are included in the entry fee. A finishers neck tube is available for a small additional fee. Minimum age to enter is 16. Entries open 27 November 2025 and close 27 September 2026. Entry fees are £24 for UKA members and £26 for non members. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
