Harkerside Hustle
The Harkerside Hustle is a half marathon trail race held in Swaledale. Serving as the finale to a short course trail series, the event starts and finishes at the Dales Bike Centre in Reeth, near Grinton. Participants must be at least 16 years old to enter.
The route is fully marked and covers a variety of terrain, including moorland trods, hard packed tracks, grassy paths, and a short road section. The course takes runners from Grinton onto Harkerside Moor, passing an iron age farmstead before ascending Whitaside Moor. Following a steady descent through Apedale, the path joins the DalesRunner 40 course for a climb to the Height of Greets and a crossing to Grinton Smelt Mill. The final stages include views from Sharrow Hill and a grassy descent via Cogden Hall back to the finish line.

Entries include access to fully stocked aid stations with vegan and gluten-free food options. After finishing, runners receive a hot soup and a roll provided by the Dales Bike Centre.
