The Hanukkah 8 Krazy Kilometers is an in-person and virtual community run held on December 14, 2025, at Panorama Vista Preserve in Bakersfield, California. The event is organized by Temple Beth El and includes trail routes through preserve land along the Kern River and below the Panorama Bluffs. The event coincides with the eight-day holiday of Hanukkah.

Registration, shirts and swag

All registrants receive a finisher medal, Hanukkah swag, water and refreshments, and entry into a race raffle. Registrants who meet the event registration deadline will be guaranteed an event T-shirt. Virtual participants receive a race bib download, a finisher certificate, and race items mailed after registration; a small shipping fee applies. Virtual registration remains open through December 22.

Teams, awards and proceeds

Teams of three or more receive a registration discount; specific discounts apply to 8K and 2K team members. Prizes are awarded to members of the largest team. Awards are given to top finishers of the in-person 8K. Race proceeds benefit Temple Beth El of Bakersfield and the Kern River Parkway Foundation.

Packet pickup and other details

Pre-race packet pickup is available at two locations before the event and at Panorama Vista Preserve on race day. The event includes music, giveaways, and allows leashed dogs on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
