The 6th Hannington Hike takes place on Sunday 8 March 2026 at Wellingborough Grammarians Memorial Sports Field, Sywell Road, Wellingborough, NN8 6BS. The event offers two waymarked routes over Northamptonshire countryside. Entry fees are: LDWA member £10, Non LDWA £15, Under 18s Free. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Priority entry is open to LDWA members until the end of 31 December 2025; general entry opens on 2 January 2026.

The shorter route has 2 checkpoints; the longer route has 3 checkpoints. Route descriptions and GPX files must be downloaded and printed in advance; route descriptions will not be available on the day. Maps covering the routes are OS LR 141 & 152 or OS EXP 223 & 224, and marked maps will be displayed at the start. Equipment recommended includes the printed route description, compass and a mug. Retirements must be reported to a walk official and return transport is provided from checkpoints only.

There is on-site parking; participants should follow marshal directions. No dogs are allowed. The entry fee includes hot and cold drinks, biscuits at the start, snacks at checkpoints and a light meal at the finish. Certificates are awarded to finishers, with a free badge on request.
