The 6th Hannington Hike takes place on Sunday 8 March 2026 at Wellingborough Grammarians Memorial Sports Field, Sywell Road, Wellingborough, NN8 6BS. The event is organised by LDWA - Beds, Bucks and Northants. On-site parking is available; marshals will direct vehicles. No dogs are allowed on the event. An emergency phone will be available on the day. There will be no entries on the day and entries are not transferable or substitutable.

Route, equipment and services

Participants must download and print their own route description; route descriptions will not be available on the day. GPX files and the route description will be available on the organiser website from 28 February 2026. Maps covering the routes are OS LR 141 & 152 or OS EXP 223 & 224; marked-up maps will be displayed at the start. Required equipment includes the route description, a compass and a mug; no mugs will be supplied at checkpoints. The entry fee includes hot and cold drinks throughout, biscuits at the start, snacks at all checkpoints and a light meal at the finish. Vegetarian options will be provided and there may be some vegan food, but other dietary requirements cannot be guaranteed.

Entries and awards

Priority entry is reserved for LDWA members until 31 December 2025. General entry information is published and entries open from December 2025. Entry fees are: LDWA member £10, non-LDWA £15, under 18s free. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult at all times. All finishers receive a certificate; a badge is available on request. Trail runs nearby

Experience the Petzl Night Trails 10K at Salcey Forest under torchlight. Tackle a two lap trail, bring a head torch, enjoy Petzl demos, canicross starts and post race hot drinks plus a medal or tree token.

Tackle 26.3 miles around Colworth Estate with five scenic laps of gently undulating trail and lanes, including woodland paths and narrow sections. Friendly club facilities, cup free so bring your own bottle, 30 November in Sharnbrook.

Run a scenic 10 mile trail around Grafham Water, weaving through woodland, Dragonfly Pond and Sanctuary Bay before a final mile along the dam wall. Canicross runs in a separate wave so you can bring your dog on a lead.

Join Bauble Bimble at Ferry Meadows for a fun multi lap challenge with four and six hour session options on a scenic 5.3 km country park loop. Bring your own bottle for refills and enjoy a bespoke finisher medal and relaxed lap format.
