6th Hannington Hike

The event takes place on 8 March 2026 at Wellingborough Grammarians Memorial Sports Field, Sywell Road, Wellingborough NN8 6BS. It is organised by LDWA - Beds, Bucks and Northants and uses walking routes through Northamptonshire countryside. The event does not allow dogs. On-site parking is available; marshals will direct vehicles.

Priority entry is available to LDWA members (priority period runs until 31 December 2025); public entry opens on 2 January 2026. Entry fees listed are: LDWA member £10, non-LDWA £15, under 18s free. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. There will be no entries on the day; entries are not transferable and substitutions are not allowed.

Participants must download and print their own route description; route descriptions and GPX files will be available on the BBN website from 28 February 2026. Required equipment includes the route description, a compass and a mug (mugs will not be supplied at checkpoints). Recommended maps are OS LR 141 & 152 or OS EXP 223 & 224. Refreshments provided as part of the entry fee include drinks, biscuits at the start, snacks at checkpoints and a light meal at the finish.
