Guto Nyth Bran : race overview

Guto Nyth Bran is a fell race scheduled for 4 July 2026, based at Bedwas Community Hall in Caerphilly (31 Bryn Heol, CF83 8FB). The course distance is 9.6 km (6 mi) with approximately 396 m of climb. The race is insured by the Welsh Fell Runners Association.

The route is partly marked and the safety information reflects partial course marking. There is a short walk of about ten minutes between the main parking area and the race start. The event has a minimum age requirement of over 18 and allows team entries at no extra cost.

Trail runs nearby

A 26.2 mile trail marathon near Bridgend on 23 May 2026 with mixed terrain, quarry and forestry sections, five feed stations and a GPX route. Entry was limited to 60 participants aged 18 or over.

An in-person trail run of about 18 km around Bristol, starting and finishing at Commune Cafe in Temple Hill. Bag drop and toilets are available and coffee will be on offer at the finish.

An off-road race in Dursley on 25 May 2026 covering about 10.31 km with 318 m of climb, visiting Cam Peak, Cam Long Down, Uley Bury and Downham Hill. Entries are limited to 120 and handled via Entry Central.

A 5 km fell race near Pengenffordd in South Wales with about 320 m of climb and a route that requires navigational skills. Junior races are available from age 7 and the event is insured by the WFRA.
