Groovy Granite is a trail running event held in the scenic Lee River region of Manitoba, on Treaty 1 territory near the historic AECL Underground Research Laboratory site. The race offers three distance options: 7K, 14K, and 21K, featuring fast-flowing trails with technical sections and challenging climbs along the rim of a granite batholith. Participants enjoy stunning views of the Lee River, Boreal Forest, and Canadian Shield. The course is a loop with an aid station at the start/finish line, and the event emphasizes community, Indigenous accessibility, and environmental respect.
