Griffin Challenge

Market Harborough, United Kingdom • 3 Jun 2026

Event overview

The Griffin Challenge is scheduled for 3 June 2026 at Braybrooke Taproom, Market Harborough (LE16 8LJ). The event uses a six-hour format in which participants complete repeated out-and-back laps from the Taproom. Runners, walkers or hikers may complete as many laps as they wish within the six-hour time limit. The organisers state this is the first time the event will use this Taproom location, though they have run 100+ similar events at other venues.

Course and logistics

The lap runs along the Griffin Trail and Brampton Valley Way on mostly crushed stone surfaces; the Griffin Trail has recently been resurfaced. There is one short grass section of about 100 m. The course is relatively flat with gentle climbs, runs between arable farm fields and is mostly unshaded. Parking is free at the Taproom and toilets are onsite. The Taproom will be open after the event for pastries, cakes, coffees and beer. The Taproom is about seven minutes from Junction 3 of the A14; the nearest train station is Market Harborough. A GPX file of the route is provided and the route may be subject to last-minute changes with markings on the day.
