Griffin Challenge

Market Harborough, United Kingdom • 3 Jun 2026

Event overview

The Griffin Challenge is a timed running event held on 3 June 2026 at Braybrooke Taproom, Market Harborough (LE16 8LJ). Entrants must be aged 16 or over on the event date. The event uses a 6-hour format in which participants complete repeated laps within the time limit; entrants choose how many laps to attempt. There is an optional charity fundraising link with Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity; donations are optional.

Course and facilities

The course is an out-and-back route from Braybrooke Taproom that follows the Griffin Trail and Brampton Valley Way. The surface is mostly crushed stone; the Griffin Trail has recently been resurfaced. One short section of about 100 m is on grass. The route is relatively flat with gentle climbs and runs between arable fields; most of the course is exposed rather than under tree cover. Parking is free at the Taproom, toilets are onsite, and the Taproom will be open after the event for food and drink. A GPX file of the route is available.

Entry, distances and rules

Entry uses tiered pricing; earlier entries were listed at £37 and later entries at £42, with an additional £2 for unaffiliated entrants. Alternatives include an on-demand option using the Skamper app, with the event medal posted to remote participants. Canicross (dogs) is not permitted; rucking is allowed.
