Great Marsh Mud Mosey
The Great Marsh Mud Mosey is scheduled for April 11, 2026 on a private property in Northern Chester County near Elverson, Pennsylvania. This is the third annual running and walking event and proceeds will be donated to the Great Marsh Institute and ChesCo Search Dogs. The event is limited to the first 120 runners.
The course is described as relatively flat and passes marsh ponds, wooded boundaries, and hundreds of acres of farmland. Part of the route crosses a muddy section and the final mile or so is on grassy surface to the finish. The distance for the main run is roughly 5 kilometers. Post race activities include food provided by a food truck, beer and spirits supplied by local breweries and a DJ. ChesCo Search Dogs will perform demonstrations after the race, and environmental biologists will be available to discuss the property’s animals and plants.
This is a rain or shine event. Organizers advise participants that the course is likely to be muddy, that pets should not be brought because this is a working farm with search dog activity, and that all registration fees are non refundable. On-site parking follows posted signs and drivers should keep speeds under 25 MPH on the gravel road. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
