Gorge Waterfalls

Gorge Waterfalls is a multi-day trail running event held April 16, 17 & 18, 2027, staged from the Marine Park Pavilion in Cascade Locks, Oregon, within the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. The event offers marked trail courses with chip timing, plentifully stocked aid stations, shuttle buses, professional medical support, radio communications, live results, and professional race photography.

Three race distances are offered:

  • 100K trail race
  • 50K trail race
  • 30K trail race

Each race day is limited to 450 runners. Registration information notes that 2027 registration opens October 5th and that races sell out quickly; there is no lottery and waitlists are used when events fill. Race services listed with registration include venue staging, toilets, post-race food and beverages, custom finisher awards, and professional permitting. A portion of proceeds will be donated to Trailkeepers of Oregon.

Logistics at Marine Park include tent camping on Thunder Island (first come first served, campers must carry gear from the mainland, no campfires or alcohol), paid parking with a $10 daily fee collected by the Port of Cascade Locks, and additional curbside parking on Wa Na Pa Street. Dogs are not allowed on the course or at aid stations; leashed dogs are permitted in outdoor staging areas. Use of boot brushes is required by the US Forest Service at check-in or the start area.

A prize purse totaling $75,000 is allocated to top three men and top three women across the three distances, and the event maintains an equality commitment including equal prize money and podium spots for women and men. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
