Wy’east Trailfest
Wy’east Trailfest is a two-day mountain trail running event held July 24 and July 25, 2027 at Mt. Hood Meadows in the Mt. Hood National Forest, Oregon, on the southeastern side of the volcano off Highway 35.
The event offers multiple race distances:
- 50 Miler
- 50K
- 28K
- Half Marathon
- 14K
- 8K
- Kids Race .75 mile (1.2 kilometers), free
Saturday features mountain trail courses that reach about 8,000 feet on Mt. Hood. Sunday includes shorter, more scenic trail races and a Kids Race that is untimed, free, and accompanied by race staff; children under six must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The Kids Race follows service roads and the Beargrass Trail to a finish at the Sun Deck by the Mt. Hood Meadows lodge.
Registration opens January 1. Registration fees cover a fully marked course, staging venue and parking, chip timing and results, full aid stations, medical support and communications, post race food and beverages, a custom finisher award, professional photography, and other essential services. Race shirts and other add-ons are not included in the registration fee.
Mt. Hood Meadows permits RV and car camping on the paved parking area for race weekend with an overnight use fee; lodge restrooms are available 24 hours. Nearest major airport is Portland International Airport and driving time from Portland is about 1.5 hours. The event recognizes and honors the traditional lands of the Molalla, Kalapuyan, Chinookan Clackamas, Wasco and Wishram, Northern Paiute, and other Sahaptin speakers.
