Post Canyon Half Marathon
The Post Canyon Half Marathon is a trail race in Hood River, Oregon, scheduled for August 22, 2026. The event uses the Post Canyon - Binns Hill Staging Area for start and finish and takes place on Hood River County Forestry tree farm land; the exact course may change and race organizers do not publish a fixed map for the course.
The route includes about 2,300 feet of elevation gain, multiple mountain views toward Oregon and Washington, and small waterfalls at Bridge Creek crossings. There are two official aid stations and additional informal stations for snacks and entertainment. The race is cupless, and each runner must carry a minimum 24 oz water bottle or use a hydration pack. Pets and earbuds are not permitted on course.
All entrants receive a finisher prize bag and some participants may win bonus prizes awarded by random contests, with bonus retail values reported between $10 and $170. Local businesses also provide prize items and a DESTINY redemption card. Number pick-up is on the morning of the event. Registered participants receive an email the Thursday before the race.
