Glen Iris 5K & 10K Trail Run

Glen Iris 5K & 10K Trail Run : Letchworth State Park, Castile NY

The Glen Iris Trail Run takes place on September 13, 2026 inside Letchworth State Park near Castile, New York. The event offers two distances:

• 5K
• 10K

Both courses run entirely on park woodland trails and start and finish near the Trout Pond. Runners pass wooded areas, creeks and streams, bridges, and views of the Genesee River Gorge known as the Grand Canyon of the East.

There is a water station at the 5K turnaround; 10K participants pass that station twice. Bottled water is also available at the finish. Packet pickup is held at the Trailside Lodge next to the Humphrey Nature Center on race morning. To guarantee a requested shirt size, registration must be completed by Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 9am.

Registration fees vary by date: 5K early registration through July 31, 2026 is $35 and increases to $40 thereafter; 10K early registration through July 31, 2026 is $40 and increases to $45 thereafter. Fees include a race bib, and for those who meet the shirt deadline a race shirt; finisher medals are available while supplies last. Post race food is provided by the Glen Iris Inn.

Awards include custom trophies for overall male and female winners in each distance. Finisher medals are limited to the first 250 registered participants. Age groups run from 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, to 70 and older.

Timing uses Jaguar Electronic RFID chip timing with real-time results and finish line photos and printable finisher certificates.
