Course
The event offers two distances: a 5 km and a 10 km trail run/walk. The course is located entirely within Letchworth State Park, which features views of the Genesee River Gorge. Both races start and finish near the Trout Pond and take place on park woodland trails. The course passes creeks, streams, and bridges. A water station is located at the 5K turnaround point; 10K runners pass it twice.
Registration & Logistics
Online registration is open until Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 5 PM. Paper registration is only available on race day. Packet pickup is at the Trailside Lodge (next to the Humphrey Nature Center) from 7:30 AM until the race start.
- 5K Trail Run: $35 through July 31, 2026; $40 from August 1 through race day.
- 10K Trail Run: $40 through July 31, 2026; $45 from August 1 through race day. Registration by Friday, September 4, 2026, at 9 AM guarantees a shirt in the requested size. A limited number of extra shirts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Awards & Amenities
All participants receive a finisher medal. Custom trophies are awarded to the first-place overall male and female finishers in each distance. The top three male and female finishers in each age group receive decals. Post-race food and snacks are provided, compliments of the Glen Iris Inn. Participants over 21 may bring adult beverages for personal consumption in the park.
Additional Information
Timing uses RFID chip technology. Results are updated in real time and can be accessed via a mobile app, results kiosk, or website. Finish line photos and custom finisher certificates are available after the race. Parking at the Trailside Lodge is free if arriving before 9 AM. The event has a no-refund policy but may be postponed or switched to a virtual format in case of foul weather or safety concerns. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
