Galena Classic Sasquatch Shuffle
The Galena Classic Sasquatch Shuffle is a snowshoe run/walk held on February 14, 2026. The event uses the Nordic Center at the General Golf Course and Pro Shop, 109 Eagle Ridge Drive, Galena, Illinois. The race distance is 3k and the event will proceed whether or not there is snow.
Registration and fees
Pre-registration is available through February 13. Pre-registration fees are $35 for adults and $25 for participants 17 and under; pre-registered adults receive a custom Eagle Ridge knit hat. Race day registration fees are $40 for adults and $30 for participants 17 and under. Snowshoe rental is available for an additional $10. Race-day registration takes place at the Nordic Center at the General Golf Pro Shop.
Categories and awards
The event offers separate snowshoe and no-snowshoe divisions. Age groups are divided by male and female competitors over 18, plus a combined male and female group for participants 17 and under. Awards are given to the top three finishers in each group.
