Galena Classic Sasquatch Shuffle

The Galena Classic Sasquatch Shuffle is a winter snowshoe run/walk event. The course is 3 km long. It is hosted by the Eagle Ridge Recreation Department at the Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa.

The event takes place at the resort's Nordic Center, located at the General Golf Course in Galena, Illinois. The race will be held whether there is snow on the ground or not.

Registration Participants can choose to compete with or without snowshoes. There is a $10 fee for snowshoe rental. Registration is divided into age groups: male and female categories for those over 18, and a combined category for participants aged 17 and under.

Awards Awards are given to the top three finishers in each age group.

Pricing and Entry

  • Pre-registration (by February 13): $35 for adults, $25 for ages 17 and under. This includes race entry and a custom knit hat.
  • Race day registration: $40 for adults, $30 for ages 17 and under.
