Frosty Looper - Cooper River Park
Frosty Looper is an eight-hour timed running event held on Sunday, December 13, 2026, at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken, New Jersey. The course is a 3.75 mile loop on a fully paved path with roughly 100 meters of rubber track and is described as mostly flat. The loop passes lakefront areas and offers views toward the Philadelphia skyline.
Runners may complete as many full laps as they can within the eight-hour time window. Partial laps are not counted and there is a cutoff shortly before the end of the period for starting new laps. Awards are given to the top three female and top three male finishers. The event provides custom winter race items instead of medals; a combined Fire and Ice challenge with the related Loopy Looper event results in a hybrid medal.
The start/finish area at Jack Curtis Stadium serves as the main pit and aid area. Participants have access to a drop/pit area with restrictions on tent size, no tent stakes allowed, and no alcohol on site. A single aid station is located at the start/finish; food may be prepared to order and a variety of single-serve snacks will be available. The event is cupless and the official drink sponsor is provided at the aid area, so participants should plan to carry their own bottle, bladder, or reusable cup.
Registration opens January 18, 2026, with tiered fees over the year and a final registration close of December 11, 2026. The organizer does not permit refunds or transfers; deferrals are allowed under the stated policy. Course records from 2024 list 56.25 miles for the top female distance and 60.00 miles for the top male distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
