The Front Runners New York Cross Country 5K is scheduled for September 27, 2025, at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. The meet is the 22nd annual running of this cross-country 5K and is supported by the Tom Cook Fund. Participants meet at the Tortoise & Hare Sculpture, where a FRNY volunteer will direct bib pickup and the walk to the start area. All participants receive a pair of translucent rainbow sunglasses.

Logistics, amenities and awards

Packet pickup, on-site registration and additional swag purchases will be available on race day. Cash and credit cards are accepted. A bag check will be provided. Transportation notes specify taking the 1 train to 242nd Street/Van Cortlandt Park and walking north on Broadway to the meeting point; parking is limited. Registration fees vary by date and options; listed fees include processing. Awards include top three overall finishers in Male/Female/X categories, with the top finisher in each category receiving a $100 gift card to Brooklyn Running Co. Age-group awards are given to the top three in Male/Female/X for these groups: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
