Fort Ord Trail Run

Fort Ord Trail Run is a two day trail running event at Fort Ord National Monument and Laguna Seca Recreation Area in Salinas, CA, held February 6–7, 2027. The event is organized by Inside Trail Racing and is authorized under a Special Recreation Permit from the Bureau of Land Management.

The event includes the following distances:

• 50K
• 25K
• 10K

The Monterey Ultra 50 Miler and the Fort Ord 50K are scheduled for the first day; the Fort Ord 25K and 10K are scheduled for the second day. Early bib pickup is offered at The Treadmill in Carmel-by-the-Sea and race-day check-in is centered at the Turn 10 Shelf start/finish area at Laguna Seca Recreation Area.

Aid stations provide a variety of foods and drinks and include general first aid items; runners are asked to carry their own cup or bottle because the event is cupless. Organizers recommend carrying at least one 20 oz bottle. Timing and aid station tracking will be provided by a third party and a small timing fee is added to entries. Parking near the start/finish area is available for a $5 fee. The 50K has an 8.5 hour time limit.

Awards include top three overall trophies, finisher medals for all finishers, a pint glass for 50K finishers, age-group awards, and a dead last finisher award.
