The Fort Ord Trail Run is scheduled for February 7, 2026, at Fort Ord National Monument near Salinas/Monterey, California. The event offers the following distances:

Course and logistics
Most of the course is on non-technical dirt trails and fire roads. Runners may encounter rutted sections and hills; most climbing occurs toward the end of each course. Hiking or trekking poles are permitted. Courses are marked with colored ribbon and signs; blue ribbons mark wrong-way trails. Aid stations vary by location and may provide items such as energy gels, Stroopwafels, trail mix, PB&J sandwiches, water, Skratch Labs hydration mix, and fruit. The event is cupless: runners must carry their own bottle or reusable cup; collapsible cups will be available for purchase for $5. Parking is available adjacent to the start/finish area for a $5 fee. The 50K has an 8.5-hour time limit. Drop bag service is not available.
Awards and other details
All finishers receive a custom medal. Top three overall finishers in each race receive trophies; all 50K finishers receive a pint glass. Age-group medals are awarded three deep across standard age categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
