The Fort Ord Trail Run is organized by Inside Trail Racing and takes place on February 7, 2026, at Fort Ord National Monument / Laguna Seca Recreation Area in Salinas, California. The event has a capacity of 600 runners across all distances. Timing and live tracking will be provided by timing partners; a small timing fee is added to entries. Check-in and bib pickup are available the day before at The Treadmill in Carmel-by-the-Sea and on race morning at the Start/Finish area in Laguna Seca Recreation Area.

- 50K - 31.0 miles, 4,300 ft elevation gain
- 25K - 16.3 miles, 2,250 ft elevation gain
- 10K - 6.4 miles, 900 ft elevation gain
Course, aid, and event policies
The course uses mostly non-technical dirt trails and fire roads, with some eroded sections and climbing concentrated toward the end of each route. Hiking or trekking poles are permitted. Courses are marked with colored ribbon, laminated signs, and ground arrows; blue ribbons indicate wrong-way trails.
Aid stations supply a range of foods and drinks such as energy gels, Stroopwafels, trail mix, chips, PB&J, Coke, Ginger Ale, water, and Skratch Labs hydration mix. Runners are encouraged to carry at least one 20 oz bottle. This is a cupless event; runners must carry their own bottle or reusable cup (HydraPak cups available for purchase for $5). Parking near the Start/Finish is available for a $5 fee. The 50K distance has an 8.5 hour time limit. Awards include overall trophies, age-group medals, finishers medals, 50K pint glasses, and a Dead Last Finisher award. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
